Melmac MW1 - BIO MW1

On Wednesday, February 6, the Melmac women's team took on BIO again. Judging by the standings, our team is not doing very well this season and we could use a win at least once.
Melmac started strongly, within a few minutes we were already ahead with a goal from Mirjam. Unfortunately we were not able to keep this up for long and the score was soon 1-1. Things went smoothly for a while, with our side scoring goals from Lieke, Fenna D. and two more from Mirjam. But with the score at 5-5, BIO started to lead, so that it was 5-8 at half time. Unfortunately, things did not get any better for Melmac in the second half.
After goals from Naomi and Fenna D., the score stood at 7-12 shortly before the end and the side shouted that the next goal would count for six. Naomi's last goal counted for six and the sub-group on Melmac's side also cheered. Unfortunately, referee Corné did not want to cooperate and we ultimately lost the match 8-12. Unfortunately, no points for Melmac again this week.
