Dear New Members,

How nice that you have decided to become a member of Melmac, the best korfball club in the Netherlands (we think so and this year we are official!). We have created this page to help you find your way around this nice club. If you have any other questions, you are always welcome to contact the board or of course any other member you like.

We manage

Every (college) year a new board takes place within Melmac. The board changes during the General Members Meeting in September. In addition to the general management tasks, each board also has its own objectives that they want to achieve, such as digitizing the Melmac archive or setting up their own Melmac clothing line. In 2023-2024, the 19th board will be as follows: Chairman - Lisa Rutjes Secretary - Isa Huisson Treasurer - Jeroen Steenks Competition secretary - Julia Koolen Would you like more information about the board or their objectives?     Maandborrels

    Elke laatste donderdagavond van de maand bij café Bolle. Vooraf is er vaak een activiteit georganiseerd door de FacCie of het bestuur. Van Bolle krijgen we elke maand een gratis fust bier voor onze maandborrel.

    Toernooien

    Gedurende het hele jaar worden er in het hele land verschillende studentenkorfbaltoernooien georganiseerd. Elke vereniging organiseert een toernooi. Dit toernooi bestaat altijd uit een feest en de volgende dag katerkorfballen.  Deze toernooien zijn altijd supergezellig en je leert er nog meer mensen door kennen, ook buiten Melmac.

    Cantussen

    Met Melmac bezoeken we meerdere cantussen per jaar, waaronder de TUC, de TOP Wintercantus en de Eindejaarscantus. We zouden natuurlijk Melmac niet zijn als we geen eigen cantussen zouden organiseren, zoals de Alf-cantus en de Lustrumcantus.

    De Alf Trophy

    In het eerste of tweede weekend van Oktober vindt de Alf Trophy plaats. Dit is ons eigen toernooi en staat bekend om de biercantus op zaterdagavond. Op zondag wordt er na een korte nacht lekker brak gekorfbald in de zaal. De Alf Trophy wordt altijd gehouden in het Sports Center van Tilburg University.

    Melmac-weekend

    Elk jaar organiseert de WeekendCie een Melmac-weekend waar flink gewerkt kan worden aan de bierconditie. De WeekendCie zorgt voor leuke activiteiten en een slaapplaats.

    Carnavalsvolleybaltoernooi

    Een toernooi georganiseerd door FOSST op de donderdag voor carnaval. Alle studentensportverenigingen van Tilburg kunnen teams inschrijven om zowel fanatiek als niet fanatiek te volleyballen, en vooral fanatiek bier te drinken.

    De Eindbarbecue

    Als laatste maandborrelactiviteit van het jaar verzorgt de FacCie een heerlijke barbecue voor de hele vereniging. Daarnaast maakt het huidige bestuur tijdens de barbecue het kandidaatsbestuur voor het volgende jaar bekend.

    Melmac organiseert nog veel meer activiteiten, zoals Sinterkerst, Cycling Dinner, het Vriemilietoernooi, een dropping, Ranking the Melmaccers en nog veel meer! Houd de nieuwsflits goed in de gaten voor de planning van alle activiteiten.

Committees Within Melmac we have various committees that provide fun activities and tournaments within Melmac. Would you like to join a committee? Send a message to one of the board members!
A lot is done and organized within SKV Melmac. This is all made possible by our enthusiastic members in various committees. These committees vary from organizing a large tournament to organizing the club weekend. In short, committees that are fun to do, but from which you can also learn a lot. Student korfball

We are certainly not the only student korfball association in the Netherlands, in fact, there are also nice and friendly student korfball associations in 10 other student cities. These associations are all connected under the Student Korfball Committee (SKC). The SKC is the committee between the associations and the KNKV. They also provide the barometer at tournaments. What is the barometer? The barometer is a competition, organized by the SKC, for all student korfball clubs to determine who will be the best student korfball club in the Netherlands at the end of the academic year. Associations earn points at tournaments by: Winning the tournament. Hangover korfball is played on Sundays. The winner of the final receives 15 points. To wear the nicest outfit, matching the theme (outfit prize). To best carry out the performance assignment (performance prize).
